Cable Glands are classified according to th type

• Double Compression
1. Weatherproof - Armored / Un-armored
2. Flameproof Suitable for Gas Group |, ||A & ||B - Armored / Un-armored
3. Flameproof Suitable for Gas Group ||C - Armored / Un-armored

Selection guidelines for cable glands:

• Determine condition of use, i.e. industrial, hazardous area.
• Determine environment conditions.
• Determine type of cable, armoured or non-armoured.
• Determine type of armour and thickness, where applicable.
• Determine cable overall diameter.
• Determine entry hole type and size.

Gland Design:
CABLEGRIP gland design and testing philosophy on the performance requirements of BS 6121:2005(BS EN 50262) & IP67 as per IS 13947(Part |), adding any criteria necessary to meet particular specification.

Hazardous area glands - Approvals:
CABLEGRIP flameproof glands are approved by CIMFR - Dhanbad. Suitable for - Gas |, ||A, ||B & ||C. Specific details are available upon request.

Material:
Glands are manufactured as standard in BRASS. Alternative material includes Aluminium, S.S. & M.S.

Finishes:
Brass Glands are generally supplied with NICKEL finish and can be supplied with variety of finishes, e.g. CHROME, TIN. Further details are available upon request.

Entry Threads:
Glands are supplied with B.S.C. threads(ET). Other entry thread froms available are - NPT, PG, PF, BSP MATRIC etc.

Select appropriate gland from from the relevant table by checking the ACTUAL cable dimensions or referring to the SPECIFIED cable.
